HVAC stands for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). They would also be hired to repair and install heating and air-conditioning systems in a new home that was being built, or to regulate the humidity level of an office. This course covers the subjects that are fundamental in the designof all types of HVAC systems. Students learn the fundamental principles of HVAC design, including psychrometrics, heat transfer, mechanical refrigeration, and load estimating.
